Breaking News--Say Goodbye to the NHL

Breaking News--The National Hockey League Players Association (NHLPA) has agreed to hire Former MLB Baseball Players Association Executive Director Donald (Fear) Fehr to head its Association.

Fehr who some credit with leading to Baseball Peace the past 16 years but in fact lead Baseball along with Partner Bud Selig to a Work Stoppage that led to the Cancellation of the rest of the 1994 Season along with the Worl Series.

We all know that The NHL had a Lockout/Work Stoppage following the 2004 Season that lead to the cancellation of the entire season.

Donld Fehr has shown no fear to do anything he can to get his way and along with NHL Commissioner Gary (The Village Idiot) Bettman will probably lead to another Lockout/Strike, and IMHO that may destroy the NHL as we know it,
If this happens I can see anywhere from 6 to 18 teams and maybe forcing the league to as little as a 8 to 10 team league.

I can see answers to trivia questions being WT Grants, Bohack, Woolworths, Zayre's Montgomery Wards, Horn and Hardart Automats, Ramblers, Burger Chef, Chicken Delight, A & S and of course the National Hockey League.

Funeral for the NHL will be somewhere between Summer 2013 to Summer 2014

RIP NHL.

Vin Scully's Call of Hank Aaron's 715th Home Run

Vin Scully is Coming Back

Great news today as Vin Scully has announced he is coming back for his
62nd season as a Dodger Broadcaster, Today there is not one person close to Vin Scully who at age
82 is just as good as he ever was, I only wish Fox would dump Buck and McCarver and let Vin do the World Series by himself, We would get better play by play and better commentary without hearing stupid useless babble that McCarver provides

The reason he is coming back??

He recalled how his parents, once retired, used to look out of the window of their home and guess what type of vehicle would drive by next. He talked about the boredom he felt during the strike in 1994.

And there was another thing.

"Now that they have Rod Barajas, that was the clincher," Scully quipped.

Barajas, a little-known catcher, is a player the Dodgers acquired off waivers on Sunday.

Brilliant Moves By The Knicks and New York Teams

Knicks move to remain Dominant and how the other New York Teams plan on becoming dominate too.

The New York Knicks once again showed why they have been the class of the NBA the past 10 Years
In one of the best moves ever to remain a dynasty they have brought back Former Coach Isiah Thomas as a consultant, but sources tell the "Nutball Gazette" that Thomas will soon be the President of the Knicks and will be running the whole program.
New York has not stopped dancing in the streets with this news.

The "Nutball Gazette" has also learned that all the New York Teams are also planning bold moves to become the dynasties they once were, among the moves being made

NBA-New Jersey Nets will be bringing back John Calapari to be Coach/GM

NHL-New York Rangers will bring back Ranger Legend Bryan Trottier to lead the team into the coming season
NHL-not to be outdone the New York Islanders will bring back Mike Milbury as Head Coach and GM
NHL-And the New Jersey Devils will reach back to historical great coach Tom McVie as it Coach

Now you have to wonder what can top this move, Well our NFL Teams have the ultimate plan that when announced will send New York to the streets to celebrate like they have never celebrated before.
The New York Giants have reached back and signed legendary coach Ray Handley to lead them back to the mountain top.
But the New York Jets have topped them all by signing to a 10 year contract the best coach in the history of the NFL, (Yes you guessed it) The one and only Rich Kotite

Now that brings us to Baseball.
The New York Yankees have been waiting Decades to be the top dog in New York and now that Hank Steinbrenner is in charge he will be bringing back as Manager Stump Merrill
And that brings us to the New York Mets, They have announced they have signed the legendary Manager Jerry Manual to a 10 year contract. (Oh Wait, They already have him, how can we forget this manager of the New York Mets who have been the Dynasty of Baseball in the 2000's and along with the Knicks own New York Sports fan's hearts

Why the Baseball Hall Of Fame is Better than Footballs!

Well we will not argue the Sport, we will not argue the Greatness of the Players
These are legitimate arguments, We will not even argue the Pros and Cons of Cooperstown NY or Canton OH.

We will let this come down to one "Special" Award or Wing that each wing of the Hall of Fame has.

The Broadcaster wing, Baseball is called The Ford Frick Award, and Baseball's is called the Pete Rozelle award, No that is not the argument either, if it was I would give the check to the NFL

This is about who is in and in some cases who is not.

Baseball Recipients Here are well known national and not so known local legends

1978 - Mel Allen and Red Barber

2008 - Dan Dierdorf
2009 - Irv Cross

Notice 2010 is not here, More about that later and why he makes my argument a no brainer.(is that a word?)

There are a few missing on baseball but give it time, there really is not anyone not in who we would kick out,

But in 2010 the Pete Rozelle Award is going to, (Clearing Throat after gagging)
Chris F N Berman--Yes I did say Chris F N Bermen

He is well known as a Studio Host, I believe that a few Past or present studio hosts should get the Pete Rozelle Award.

Where is Brent Musburger, (NFL Today CBS). James JB Brown (FOX and CBS)
Bob Costas, (NBC) Len Berman (NBC) no relation to Chris
I would argue all 4 should be in

Or if not a Studio Host
There are other guys, most are still working
Al Michaels, Jim Nantz, Howard David (Great Radio Play by Play, Pats, Jets, Dolphins, Monday Night and still working), Bob Trumpy, Sam Rosen, Marv Albert, and last but maybe the most deserving is Tom Brookshier

But how can any hall Of Fame except the Hall of Dumbass Annoying Idiots include Chris F N Berman.

The only way Baseball can be as bad is if they Induct a guy like John Sterling, or Michael Kay, That would be just as Bad.

I leave you with This Chris Berman Classic
