Friday Night---

San Diego--34 @ Titans--31 (A Christmas Classic, But Titans Miracle run ends)

"The Expert" Picks week 15 (Part 1) + Comment

Last Week 9-7
Season (139-71)

Only doing Thursday and Saturday Games --Rest of the week coming,

Thursday Night

Colts--27 @ Jaguars--23 (Another close game for these Two teams, Colts do find a way to win and keep the dream of shutting Mercury Morris's Mouth up)

BTW (Morris is back and more annoying than ever)

Saturday Night

Dallas (Calf-Girls)--23 @ Saints 34 (Saints keep their side up as the Calf-Girls continue the December Ice Freeze, This maybe Wade Phillips last game)

Now a comment on this past week news,

The Death of Chris Henry is so tragic, Henry seemed to have turned his life around and to have this happen to him is really a tragedy to his children, family and teammates, Those who have Twitted or put on Discussion boards saying that they were happy this happened to him are truly the Low Life Scum of the Earth and with thoughts like that I have to wonder how they can look at themselves in the mirror or try to teach their kids the way to be a good person in society.

The Tiger Woods case is another sad story but really this is 100% his fault, I have seen some reports that his popularity has tumbled from it's high to low is more dramatic than anyone else in history of poll taking and this includes (Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire, O J Simpson and Richard Nixon).

And if there is anything at all to the allegations that he may have used HGH or Steroids his popularity and the respect he has in the community or among sports fans will be gone forever, He will never be recognized by most fans as among the greatest golfers of all time, (If it is true) I sure hope it is not and I do not think it is true, I do believe he has done it the right way, Time will tell.

"The Expert" Picks week 14

Another so-so week

Last Week---10-6
Season--130-64

Thursday Night

Steelers--26 @ Browns--10 (Steelers keep on struggling, One more loss and they will be renamed the Plastics, The Browns cannot even beat the Girl Scouts, Thus they are now known as the Brownies headed by Eric Wonangini)

Sunday

Dolphins--20 @ Jags--24 (Dolphins will have a let down after big win over the Patriots, Only hope for Mahi-Mahi's is that the Jaguars can play like Kittens when it counts, If Miami looses this game say goodbye to any playoff chances, Jags can solidify their wildcard spot with a win)

Broncos--23 @ Colts--27 (Broncos give the Colts another big scare but the Colts stay unbeaten, A Broncos win will almost guarantee a playoff spot )

Saints--35 @ Falcons--16 (Falcon injuries doom them as Saints keep on marching to the #1 sees in the NFC Playoffs)

Packers--31 @ Bears--17 (Packers are on a roll and Bears are playing like stuffed teddy bears as they tumble out of playoff contention)

Lions--6 @ Ravens--13 (Ravens win a very ugly game, Ravens lose this one they will be known as the Canary's)

Jets--16 @ Bucs--10 (Another ugly game, Jets find a way to eek out a win in an a match up of
The Paper Airplanes vs the Yucs)

Bills--20 @ Chiefs--10 (KC trying the Patriot way of doing things is a disaster as it has for every team that has tried it, Bills are playing for pride and avoid being renamed the Pennies)

Seahawks--17 @ Texans--10 (Texans seem to have given up and will fire the entire staff and start over again, Seahawks will win at least this one while waiting for Holmgren to take organization)

Panthers--17 @ Patriots--21 (Patriots are lucky that they have a cupcake schedule, Panthers another team that has given up as John Fox will be interviewing for the New York Football Midget Defensive Coordinator job after the season ends)

Bengals 23 @ Vikings--16 (Vikings have alot of injuries on both sides of the ball and the running game has disappeared thus we have the old gunslinger Brett Favre getting picked off at least 3 times again, Bengals show that they are the Real Deal as Chad "Hachi Go," {Japenese for Ocho Cinco has a another big game then does something to get fined another 30 Grand}

Rams--10 @ Titans--23 (Titans get back on track to tray to salvage a .500 season)

Redskins--20 @ Raiders--24 (Raiders win again in a pretty darn good game of bad teams that are playing hard for jobs next year)

Chargers--17 @ Cowboys--23 (Cowboys regroup to get their one win for December)

Sunday Night

Eagles--27 @ Giants--17 (Eagles continue their march to a division tittle as Giants aka The Midgets continue the downward spiral of a season)

Monday Night

Cards--27 @ 49rs--10 (Cards try to continue the playoff push (2nd wild card along with Packers) --That means the Cowgirls will not make the playoffs Boys and Girls

"The Expert" Picks week 13

Last Week--11-5
Season--120-57 (Not including correct pick of the Grey Cup Game)

Thoughts of the past week...
>Giants look to be in total freefall
>Steelers injuries may cause them to not make the playoffs..
>Patriots have playoffs pretty muck locked up but they are very much up & down on offense and defense is just not the same
>Titans are on an amazing run, Colts struggle every week but wins every week, Something has got to give.
>Dolphins turned back to the Mahi Mahi's last week vs Bills
>Jets kept slim playoff hopes alive with a stellar defensive effort

>Other Sports notes, Derek Jeter becomes first yankee ever to become Sports Illustrated's
(Sportsman Of the Year)
>Tiger Woods shows he is human.
>The Grey Cup was a spectacular game, The Game appeared to be over when Damon Duval missed a Field Goal to win at the buzzer, But the Saskatchewan Roughriders were called for too many men (13) on the field, so Duval made it on his 2nd attempt to give Montreal a 28-27 win, What is not reported was that Montreal scored what use to be known as a Rouge now called a single for a kick into the end zone that gave Montreal a single point, The difference in the game was 1 point.

Now the Picks

Thursday Night

Jets--13 @ Bills--10 (Ugly Game that the Paper-Airplanes should win but this is also the type of game they lose most of the time, So I am going with my Heart here)

Sunday

Rams--16 @ Bears 17 (Someone has to win in a match up of a terrible team vs a underachiever)

Bucs--17 @ Panthers--13 (Yucs beat a Panther team that seems to be giving up on its coach and itself)

Texans--10 @ Jags--17 (Jags usually lose a game like this but the Texans seem primed to fall back to a lower level of teams leading to a coaching change and a rebuilding of this team, meanwhile Jones-Drew should have a huge game)

Broncos--17 @ Chiefs--23 (No way the Chiefs should win but the Broncos have almost always lost in KC in December games)

Titans--20 @ Colts 35 (Colts seem to be poised to lose and Titans seem to be on a roll, But The Streak of the Titans ends as the Colts prove that they are an elite team in the AFC)

Eagles--20 @ Falcons--10 (Ryan is out Sunday and Michael Turner is hurting. Eagles make their Playoff pitch)

Saints--31 @ Redskins--20 (Redskins hang tough till the 4th Qtr, but Saints pull out another one)

Raiders--10 @ Steelers--35 (Steelers take out weeks of aggravation on the Raiders)

Lions--13 @ Bengals--31 (Bengals will not choke away this easy win)

Patriots--35 @ Dolphins--16 (Patriots regain some of its swagger at least for one week and Mahi Mahi's will return to the glory days of December Collapses)

Chargers--38 @ Browns--3 (Browns continue to embarrass the city of Cleveland as Chargers continue to soar in December before their Choke job that will come in January)

Cowboys--23 @ Giants--16 (Cowboys will have to wait a week to start their annual December-January Choke as the Giants downward spiral continues)

49rs--20 @ Seahawks--23 (49rs continue their road woes)

Vikings--27 @ Cardinals--10 (Viking defense smothers the Hurting cards offense while Favre continues to advance his career passing yardage (Pro including NFL-AFL-CFL) to the all time record of owned by Damon Allen (Marcus Allens Brother) 0f 72381, Favre as of today has 68,001 which is 3rd all time, Warren Moon has 70,553 and sits 2nd

Monday Night

Ravens--13 @ Packers--23 (Ravens just do not score enough and the Offense is struggling after a Huge start)

Sunday, November 29, 2009

"The Expert" Pick Grey Cup 97

The Grey Cup is being played, Starting in about 10 Minutes

Montreal seems from what I observe can score at will
But they have been in 4 of the last 5 Grey Cup Games and have lost all 4 games

The Saskatchewan Roughriders won 2 years ago

Montreal is in its 17th Grey Cup and is 5-11
Saskatchewan is in its 17th Cup also and is 3-13

Something has to give

The Final Score will be Montreal 38--Saskatchewan 23

Bob Sheppard will not be back

Thanksgiving Day came the announcement that Legendary and Longtime Yankee P A Announcer would not be returning to the Yankees by Officially Retiring at age 99. For many Yankee fans, Yankee players and visiting players, Bob Sheppard was the "Voice of God" and the voice of the Yankees,
I went to my first game in 1965 and last game with him was in 2006. It was such a thrill to hear such class in a announcers voice compared to the Typical P A people of today's games in all the sports who scream at the top of their lungs no matter what the score is, how much time is left or what inning the game is in and also if the stands only have a few hundred fans left, Here in Orlando/Tampa Paul Porter speaks very clearly but he is a cheerleader and that was fine for a 1st year expansion team in a city that never had pro basketball or pro hockey but it gets old after a while, Also every team in Sports has these screamers as their P A Guys,
At Least the Yankees hired former Play by Play man Paul Olden as their new guy, While he does not have the distinctive voice of Bob Sheppard at least he handles the job with class.
To Bob Sheppard, All Yankee fans and anyone who ever went to Yankee stadium will miss you.

Below is links the USA Today and also a Video Tribute posted on You Tube on the day the Yankees Honored Mr Sheppard

"The Expert"s Picks Week 12

Had a little improvement this week.

Last Week--10-6
Season 109-52

First a few Comments,

Rex Ryan--"Shut Your Yap" you complain about the Patriots rubbing it in, but you and the players are Trash Talking about every team you play, I do not mind being cocky and trash Talking but You need to win those games and back up your Yapping

Oh Bill Belichick Great job keeping in your starters in a game that was over, You are asking for season ending injuries for your players, If Brady or Moss gets hurt on that last play you would deserve to have your butt fired

Eric Womangini. You are sounding like a hysterical out of control dumb blonde, Get out of Head Coaching and start the only job you are qualified for (Coaching a team with Tecmo Bowl on the original NES Game system)

Hey Bengals, Great job acting like the Jets of old by beating tough teams then losing to th Bottom teams of the NFL. No wonder you have never won a Super Bowl.

Now the Picks

Thanksgiving

Green Bay--27 @ Detroit--10 (Lions scored a seasons worth of points in the last game, With Stafford out they have no shot) {Unless they play the Bengals, Broncos or Jets}

Oakland--17 @ Dallas--20 (Cowboys win but continue to struggle, Raiders start impressing a little more but comes up short)

New York Giants--41 @ Denver--27 (Broncos continue getting routed, but do score alot against an awful Giant Defense)

SUNDAY

Miami--20 @ Buffalo--10 (Miami wins easier than the score indicates)

Seattle--17 @ St Louis--20 (Rams eeks out a win)

Indianapolis--17 @ Houston--20 (Indy luck runs out, Texans blew chance to be in the drivers seat for playoffs but continues to tease their fans with this win)

Cleveland--21 @ Cincinnati--34 (Brady Quinn puts points up but Brown defense will let up 30+ again)

Carolina--16 @ New York Jets--24 (Sanchez shows a little life along with Jet Running game)

Tampa Bay--13 @ Atlanta--31 (Falcons regains its swagger, Bucs and Josh Freeman impresses in spurts but makes too many mistakes)

Washington--10 @ Philadelphia--13 (Another Bore Bowl)

Kansas City--16 @ San Diego--27 (No way Chiefs steal another one)

Jacksonville--6 @ San Francisco--24 (Jags are on a roll and 49rs cannot do anything right, But Jags find a way to blow it)

Chicago--6 @ Minnesota--31 (Bears are awful and Vikings are playing like the best team in the NFL "For Now")

Arizona--17 @ Tennessee--23 (Something has to give, Titans winning streak or Cards winning on the road every game. I say Titans may be the team we thought they were going to be in 2008 with Vince Young, Titans may win out and finish 10-6 and make the playoffs if they can get by Indy)

Sunday Night

Pittsburgh--13 @ Baltimore-16 (Ravens are reeling but so are the Steelers with the injuries)

Monday Night aka (The Showdown)

Patriots--38 @ New Orleans--31 (Then their was none, No undefeated teams after today and Patriots show what they are made of by winning this shootout)

Thursday Night

Miami--10 @ Carolina--17 (Ronnie Brown Injury is a crippling blow to the Dolphins scoring ability)

Cleveland--2 @ Detroit--3 in OT (Lions win on a rouge in OT)

San Francisco--17 @ Green Bay--23 (Packers build on the Cowboy Game win)

Buffalo--10 @ Jacksonville--27 (Maurice Jones Drew will not pull up at the Goal Line this week)

Pittsburgh--27 @ Chiefs--3 (Steelers can be missing the entire defense and the Chiefs would still not score enough to be competitive)

Seattle--10 @ Minnesota--31 (Vikings continue to roll, Adrian Peterson has a huge game and Favre continues to play efficient ball for at least one more week)

Atlanta--27 @ New York Giants--20 (Giants Defense continues to get torched and still not enough offense to give the Giants a much need win)

New Orleans--23 @ Tampa Bay--20 (Josh Freeman keeps the Bucs in the game but Drew Brees finds a way to win late)

Arizona--17 @ St. Louis--20 (Rams have been hanging in games as of late, Cards struggles on the road continue)

New York Jets--10 @ Patriots--35 (Patriots take it out on the free falling Paper Airplanes)

I did pick the
Chicago @ San Francisco (Busy week at work but got the 49rs in my pool) (Trust me), I would not lie to you, By the way do you want to buy a Used car, It is almost Perfect (Trust Me)

Now for the Rest

Sunday Day

Cincinnati--17 @ Pittsburgh--31 (Steelers on a role and I am not a true believer in Bengal Power just yet, especially in Pittsburgh)

Jacksonville--13 @ New York Jets--24 (Jets should be able to hold off Maurice Jones Drew and any type of Jaguar passing game)

Detroit--6 @ Minnesota--31 (Favre keeps it going for another week and anyway it is the Lions)

Tampa Bay--20 @ Miami--24 (Josh Freeman should help the Bucs move the ball but the Defense will not be able to handle the wildcat)

Denver--27 @ Washington--13 (Redskins will help cure the Bronco Blues)

Atlanta--24 @ Carolina--10 (The Demise of the Panthers continue)

Buffalo--10 @ Tennessee--24 (Vince Young continues to grow a little bit of confidence every week and it is about time T.O . will go off big time any day now)

New Orleans--31 @ St Louis--10 (The Saints have been struggling early but they are playing the Rams, That will cure your ills)

Kansas City--6 @ Oakland--10 (Do we have to see this game? This game should be played on Thanksgiving, What a turkey! Raiders will win, I guess, maybe, More people will be watching The TV Listings channel in KC and Oakland)

Dallas--28 @ Green Bay--13 (Green Bay offensive line looks like a team ready to quit Aaron Rogers might not survive this game and Dallas will keep it going, after all it is still November,

Philadelphia--10 @ San Diego--42 (Philly seems to lost it, Very inconsistent, Chargers will win as Dallas, too early for them to choke)

New England--27 @ Indianapolis--17 (Colts have been just getting by against mediocre teams, This time they are playing a Patriot team that is gaining in Confidence),

Monday Night

Baltimore--24 @ Cleveland--17 (Brady brings life to the Browns but Joe Flacco will overcome the Browns best showing of the year)

(Side Note, That is my car, Got plowed into 2 weeks ago)

>>Green Bay 35 @ Yucs 3 (The Yucs have reverted to the good old days of the 80s to mid 90s, They are honoring one of their Greats Lee Roy Selmon in their Ring Of Honor, But also are wearing those Ugly Loser Orange Creamcicle Jerseys Expect the offensive effort to be just like those days, Run Right, Run Left, Run Middle, Punt, Yawn for the Yucs fans)

>>Panthers 13 @ Saints 34 (The Saints keep marching in)

>>Lions 10 @ Seahawks 17 (Another Game tough to pick, Neither team that Good I got no guts in this game to pick the road team)

Rambling thoughts of a Nutball (World Series and Other Stuff.

The New York Yankees won the 2009 World Series Thus Closing out the 00's Decade!
So now who is the team of the Decade, There are 2 Contenders who won 2 Tittles each
The New York Yankees (2000, 2009)
The Boston Red Sox (2004,2007)
That is it, Not even 1 other team that deserves a Bronze Medal
So who wins it?

Red Sox 2 WS Champs --Yankees 2 WS Champs EVEN
Red Sox in 4 ALCS---Yankees in 5 ALCS Advantage Yankees 1 Point Yankees
Red Sox in Playoffs 6 times---Yankees in Playoffs 9 times Advantage Yankees 2 Points Yankees
Red Sox vs Yankees in Playoffs 1-1 But Big edge to Red Sox for 2004. 2 Points Red Sox
Red Sox 1 Division Tittle--Yankees 8 Division Tittle Advantage Yankees 4 Points

Points are my Award.. Yankees 7 to 2 Edge, Give the Red Sox 4.5 Points for Comeback.

Final Score Yankees 7 Red Sox 6.5

Yankees Win!!!! Theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Yankees Win!!

Other World Series Notes--

I missed my pick by 1 game, I had the Yankees in 7

The Phillies

What a series for Chase Utley of the Phillies and a GREAT effort for Cliff Lee

What a horrible series at bat for Ryan Howard, Cole Hamels imploded and Brad Lidge continued his meltdown at the worst times as he had all of 2009

For the Yankees,

The Bad, Phil Hughes,

Jorge Posada struggled but got a couple of big hits

Mark Texiera had a rough time but got a Couple of Huge Hits and was a Game saver in the field

A J Burnett Game 5

The Good

AJ Burnett Game 2

Andy Pettite fought his way through both games

CC Was just OK but was so gritty and found a way to win Game 4

Derek Jeter shows why he is the Captain, Just puts out terrific efforts all the time

Johny Damon made the play of the series (Maybe one of the Top 10 WS Plays of all time)
With the stealing of 2nd base and seeing no one at 3rd base and taking that base too
That changed the way Brad Lidge pitched and after hitting Mark Texiera A-Rod got one of several Big Hits throughout the Playoffs

Hideki Matsui in Limited play had Huge hits that changed the games in Game 2,3 and 6.
He is a deserving MVP

Mariano Rivera had maybe his best Postseason in his career at age 39 (Close to 40)

NFL

What has happened to the Giants?
T.O is back with the Cowboys in the body of Roy Williams, But the difference is Williams sucks and does not give an effort that T.O would give

The Paper Airplanes Play well on Offense and defense but has one of the worst Special Team days in NFL History

The Lions continue to show how bad they are.

The Rams found a way to win and In the long run Hiring Steve Spagnuolo will prove to be a great move

The Raider are a mess with a coach who is being investigated as a Abuser of Woman.
How can the NFL allow this guy to continue to coach with this cloud over him. (The Players Union will use this as another example that Management can cheat and break the law and continue to operate "Business as Usual" But if a Player goes 35.1 MPH in a 35MPH Speed zone he will be gone for 8 games

Then there is the Cleveland Browns, Has to be the most inept Management in Sports History
They make Senile Al Davis, Daniel Snyder, and Donald Stirling (LA Clippers) look like
Geniuses

Rambling thoughts of a Nutball (Quickie Edition)

Baseball

Yankees vs Phiilies World Series,

Going with my Heart (Yankees in 7)
But for the Yankees to win they must hit better with RISP. and get better bullpen play out of Joba and Hughes.
And if Girardi puts Matsui (as Rumored) in the field he should be fired on the spot.
Phillies need Pedro and Cole Hammels to come through.
The other key is not to make dumb mistakes, That cost the Angels and Twins vs the Yankees.

NFL

Even though they have 2 wins each, Are there 2 worst teams along with the Yucs, and Rams worst in Sports History than the Redskins and Raiders.
This may be the worst year in Sports history to have so many very bad teams,
I think that last years Lions and the 1976 Bucs can beat this team, and for the 176 Bucs to beat these teams is pretty amazing figuring most of those guys are about 76 Years old now.
As far as the Good, Who Dat Saints, (Some Comeback against the Mahi-Mahi's)
The Colts always looks good this time of year.
And do not forget the Patriots, They just keep on going and going. I still think it will be a Steeler/Patriot AFC Championship game, with the winner easily wining the Super Bowl

NBA.

The Celtics are old and has problems with guys like Baby Davis and Rondo who seems to go off the program and I do not know if Garnett and Ray Allen can stay healthy for the entire season
The Cavs are relying on a aged Shaq O.Niell to help Labron James, and the Magic have messed with the Chemistry. IF the Magic personal changes work (Vince Carter) and losing Guys like Courtney Lee and Rafer Alston and the additions to replace them they can come out of the East, But I think it will backfire and it will be a difficult season for D-12 (Dwight Howard)
Someone has to come out of the East, I say it will be the Cavs.

The West has the Lakers and Spurs, The Spurs are old but very deep. The Lakers have proven themselves but they lost Trevor Ariza who does so many little things, But if Ron Artest is focused and the Lakers stay healthy they are the team to beat.

My Pick is Kobe Bryant gets the ultimate satisfaction and The Lakers win over the Cleveland Cavaliers (With Shaq and Labron) in 6 games.

How to make Don Mattingly a Legendary Yankee Of All Time

Just saw this on Paul Francis Sullivan's Terrific Blog Sully Baseball

http://sullybaseball.blogspot.com/2009/10/what-will-this-world-series-have-in.html

Here is what he had to say. (Well Done Sully)

What will this World Series have in common with every other World Series EVER?
Don Mattingly won't be involved in it.
I wrote a post last year about Mattingly's astonishingly bad luck in terms of getting into a World Series... and sadly the post remains relevant.
Chances are he'll be managing next season somewhere and David Lennon at Newsday has Donnie Baseball being a prime candidate for taking over the Indians job.
Wow, if there was a place that had WORSE post season karma than Don Mattingly IT'S CLEVELAND!!!
Maybe the bad karma will cancel each other out.

My Comment. I have a better idea, When Terry Francona retires I feel the Boston Red Sox should give Donny Baseball a 10 year Contract to manage the Boston Red Sox or at the very least put him in as a uniformed coach, As a Yankee Fan we can say with his record We as Yankee Fans will Love him forever and thank him for putting on a Red Sox Uniform. Thanks Sully for reminding me of the Mattingly Record (Curse) and for my inspiring me to come up with this idea.

Rambling Thoughts Of A Nutball (October 19)

Baseball

The Dodgers seem to be outclassed, The Phillies should be able to pound the Dodgers into submission, as long as it does not come down to the bullpens.

The Angels have been getting decent Starting pitching but Brain Fuentes one bad pitch to A-Rod is crushing, Also The Yankees have taken advantage of every Angel mistake, while the Angels let the Yankees of the hook when Cano and Jeter made bad errors, The only time the Angels did anything was against A J Burnett by scoring on a wild pitch but they had a chance to bury the Yankees in that inning and several others in Game 2, Vladimir Guerrero is killing the Angels with just awful at bats, It reminds me of what the At Bats Alphonse Soriano did in the 2003 World Series when all you had to do was throw a ball within 200 feet of home plate and Soriano would swing, The Angels should consider either benching him or moving him down to 7th or 8th in the lineup,
Saying that the Yankees need to start hitting more, They cannot keep on counting on having 5 or 6 Guys coming out of the bullpen and stopping the Angels,

NFL.

We are witnessing some of the worst teams in NFL history this year.

Ranking the worst (BTW these may be the worst team in team sports history)

1-----Washington Redskins (They play winless teams every week and only has 2 wins)
2-----Tampa Bay Yucs (They may have lost to the Redskins but they still are a little better_
3-----Tennessee Titans
4-----St Louis Rams
5-----KC Chiefs
6-----New York Paper Airplanes
6 tie--Oakland Raiders

The New York Paper Airplanes are back to the Glory Days led by Mark (Bubby Brister) Sanchez
The play calling was awful the Offensive line is just offensive, and the team is very undisciplined.
Do not be surprised if it gets worst this weekend vs the Raiders

The Giants just laid an egg, Maybe they are not as good as we thought they were.

Just as we thought the Bengals might be an elite team they lay an egg

Well so much for the Lions improving

How about that "GREAT" Raven Defense

I know the Redskins beat Tampa but to me the Redskins are the worst team in team sports history,

While Philadelphia is happy about the Phillies the Eagles are very inconsistent and is capable to lose to anyone

This just in Tom Brady is pretty good, But which Patriots team is going to show up any given week

And finally the Jacksonville Jaguars sent all 17 of the fans in attendance home happy.
One has to wonder if the NFL will not move the Jags during the season

NHL

Wow, Those Islanders and Maple Leafs are great teams aren't they?

"The Expert's" Picks Week 6

Last week 10-4 (Season 54-22)

Alot of tough games, and a Preview of a Conference Championship Games

Texans 13 at Bengals 31 (Bengals look to for real)

Lions 17 at Packers 23 (Lions give a good fight, but no win in Green Bay)

Ravens 23 at Vikings 31 (Favre puts up big numbers but he gets hit alot in this game and becomes to feel the bruises as the season goes on)

Giants 27 at Saints 31 (Saints win an epic battle of great QBs, Preview of the NFC Championship game but that result will be different)

Browns 6 at Steelers 38 (Steelers struggles end against the Brown and
Girly(Man-gini)

Panthers 13 at Yucs 6 (Yucs struggles just get worst)

Chiefs 10 at Redskins 13 (Someone has to win, I think. Zorn stays safe for at least one more week)

Rams 10 at Jaguars 23 (The Jekyll and Hyde Jaguars season continues as the Jags continue the Rams struggles)

Cardinals 27 at Seahawks 14 (Seahawks big win a mirage, back to reality this week)

Eagles 38 at Raiders 6 (Raiders continues to sink into oblivion)

Titans 16 at Patriots 23 ( Patriots hold off Titan rally led by new QB Vince young who comes in the game in the 3rd Qtr.)

Bills 10 at Jets 28 (T.O. catches one ball for a 65 yard TD but that is the highlight for the Buffalo (Pennies) and Sanchez gets back on track)

Sunday Night

Bears 23 at Falcons 27 (Classic Sunday night battle between Two very exiting teams and Two very good QBs)

Monday Night

Broncos 24 at Chargers 10 (Broncos magic continues and Chargers season continues to spiral down)

Rambling Thoughts of a Nutball

Here we go

1st Predictions for Baseball League Championship series.

NLCS-Phillies over Dodgers in 6

Just feel that the Phillies have a little too much for the Dodgers, But if this becomes a battle of the Late inning Bullpens the edge goes to the Dodgers, The difference in this series will be Cliff Lee and Ryan Howards big bat, I truly think Manny Ramirez will fail when needed

ALCS-Yankees in 7

Maybe I am viewing this through Yankee Colored Glasses.
The Angels have the Heart of a team of Destiny, They are playing inspired ball.
The Starting Pitching first 3 starters edge goes slightly to the Yankees, If it gets to a 4th Starter Kazmir gives the Angels an edge there, The Bullpen edge is to the Yankees, The Angels bullpen is not what it once was.
The infield edge goes to the Yankees, with the addition of Mark Texeria and with Robinson Cano's Maturity along with Derek Jeter playing like it is 1999 and Alex Rodriguez finnaly playing up to his potential makes this a pretty big Yankee advantage
The OutField advantage edge goes to the Angels, The Angels having Tori Hunter along with Jaun Rivera and Former Yankee Bobby Abreu, over a Mediocre Johny Damon a Smart but not smooth Nick Swisher and a Very Good Melky Cabrerra
The DH is pretty equal with a very good hitting Hideki Matsui, and a very Dangerous Vladimir Guerrero (Both are aging and show it at times)
The Bench edge goes to the Yankees,
When it comes down to it the Yankees just seem to have a little too much and win a Classic 7 game series.

Now the NFL,
The Colts, Giants, Saints, and Vikings along with the very surprising Denver Broncos are on top of the NFL, The Miami Dolphins seem to be a much better team with Chad Henne at QB, (Could this be a Tom Brady like replacement?)
The Jets Defense was embarrassed by the Dolphins, The Patriots failed at crunch time once again. They still may win the division but they have taken a step backwards, The Time of the Patriots as the NFL elite may be over.
The Ravens defence is not what it was, and The Steelers seem to be suffering from the Super Bowl Hangover, But I still think they can recover.
The Chargers are not "Who We Thought They Were"
But the Broncos might be the biggest surprise of the Year,
In the NFC The Giants, Saints appears to be headed to playing a 2nd game after this Sunday in the NFC Championship Game,
I still think by the end of the Year Brett Favre will get hammered and Bruised and will not be able to carry the Vikings to the promised land, The Cowboys are a mediocre team at best.
Now for the Worst, Has there ever been so many bad teams as there is right now,
The Bills, Browns, and Lions all have 1 win and will be lucky to win 3 games this year.
The Titans is 0-5 but I still think they can win 5 or 6 games but they are a huge disappointment
The Redskins have 2 wins but they are among the Worst Teams of the past decade
I believe we may have 10 teams this year that may have lost to last years Lions or the 1976 Tampa Bay Bucs or those Great New Orleans "Aint's" teams
The other bad-bad-bad teams, The Raiders who will be lucky to win another game thsi year and may have the #1 draft pick every year for the foreseeable future.
The Redskins are the Raiders East with Dan Snyder as the owner.
The Tampa Bay Yucs are back to the days of 10+ losses for years to come
The Rams?? Well they will have a new Owner so there is hope they may have something to cheer about in Rams country, The question is, Who moves to L A first, The rams or the Jaguars?
And then there is the Chiefs, Once a proud team along with the raiders of the Old AFL has become a forgettable franchise

Well that is it for this rambling mind for this week.
